Exposhistory.org is a 4 year project dedicated to compiling the complete history of the Montreal Expos baseball franchise.
I started out with the idea of a site to present statistics of the team and it players but that’s been done several times over. What I found out quickly was that this project was much larger than I originally anticipated. In terms of volume and content I have accumulated material that far exceeded what was/is available online or in any other source.
I'm digging deeper into the organization. I've been accumulating statistics regarding the entire Expos system and information about everyone who worked for the organization.
Remember, what was the substance of the Montreal Expos has been disbursed. The franchise that once was the Montreal Expos is related only in legal terms. They do not appear to have any interest in keeping the wonderful history of Montreal Expos baseball alive.
I’m looking for the following:

Montreal
Expos Organizational Record Books: These are similar to the big-league
club’s media guide and contain player’s stats at all levels during
the prior year. I have what I believe is most of the data but these
guide will fill in the gaps.
- Information
regarding former staff. If you are a former employee or have contact
with former employees you might be able to assist in this project.
- Pictures:
Rare (preferably, but limited to) colour photographs of players,
coaches, fans, game action and Jarry Park
.
- Newspaper
or magazine articles.
- Stories,
fan memories etc.
- Broadcasts
(TV and/or radio)
Everything I compile will eventually be donated to the Canadian Baseball
Hall of Fame in
St. Marys,
Ontario.
I am also looking for a assistance with the following:
- French language translation
- Searchable on-line database using MySQL/php or alternative
I will start a blog soon to chronicle the progress of this research (or
lack thereof).
